Christ?

Who is Christ? How would you answer this question?

Some say that Christ is a prophet, a man sent from God to preach.

Some say that he is the guy that gets them to heaven somehow.

Some say that Christ is a good example to follow whenever convenient.

Some say that Christ is a famous man that lived a while back.

Christ asks each person the question, “Who do you say that I am?”

Every person must seek to know Christ and answer this question. Christ was a part of the eternal God-head even before the world began. Christ is the Word of God, made flesh and lived on the earth in the form of a man. Christ is our Savior, giving us life through his death on the cross. Christ was the son of God who died for us so that we could live holy lives here on this earth and then some day be received into glory to worship him.

  • Jesus Christ was fully God, and came to this earth in the form of a man, to bring life and salvation to sinful humanity.

  • Jesus, while on this earth, lived as an example of how all men should live. Christ was fully man, and faced all the temptations that we face, but he was sinless by the power of God.

    We also must follow Christ’s example and live Holy lives. And the only way we can attempt to live a perfect life, or to follow the teaching of Christ, is through the power of the resurrection of Christ and by surrendering all of our life to him.

  • Christ suffered the horrors of physical death on a Roman cross simply so that we might have life, and that we might have it more abundantly.

    Christ did not suffer for the sole reason of getting us to heaven, Christ died for us so that our sins would be forgiven, but much more than that, Christ died so we have the power to stop sinning. Christ is our sacrifice for sin, and he gives us new life so that we are no longer servants to sin.

  • Without a doubt, Christ has died for everyone of us, and would not have done so if he did not love us.
